Unique has just finished shooting the video for his much antisapated debute single WOW, and it looks hot!!!!
Shot over 2 days using everything from green screens, to body mount cameras.This state of the art music video has already got tongues waging, and is guarenteed to be a hit once it hit the screens late 2006/07. Directed and produced by the You Know production team energised by Unique's vision, this music video bring Unique words  to life. Loads of special effects, coupled with an amazing performance by Unique makes it definetly one to look out for.

An unbelievable night, definitely one that will stick in the memory for a very long time.
Big thanx to Pulserated for organising such an amazing event. There were 1600 people crammed into the UEA and let's just say that they were hungry for HIP-HOP!! It's not everyday yoiu get to support modern day music legends so we're gonna be posting up all kinds of pics,links and video footage to the event so stay locked in Dual Amp fans!!. Unique put in an amazing performance down at the UEA Oxjam concert supporting De LA soul.The crowd was up for it and so was Unique performing tracks from his Debut album "GOLDEN BOY" due for release late spring 2007, stay tuned cos this Kidd ius HOOOTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!

21st Sep -YOYO, NOTTING HILL ARTS CLUB
 
Another big night down at the infamous YOYO. Big respect to DOM, SEB and LEO for making the Dual Amp special a night to remember. Unique performed tracks from his forthcoming album. Even the indie kids in there were bopping their heads like B-boys! Despite the bass amp blowing ten minutes before Mister Who's band got going some prayers and brillant work by the technician kept things sweet! Watch out for the track 'Underground' it's bigger than Branson's house!! Check the pics from the night!

Wicked night at this venue which Unique used as a warm-up to some forthcoming shows and festivals. The boy tore it up, with his right hand man, Blessed and DJ Cosmo came through with some mean scratchin'!
Big shout going to F.Y.B.A, former rapper with The Streets, now with his own group, The Mid-L-Men. This brummie crew performed a tight set that night, UK Hip-Hop is in a good place at the moment, Believe!!

The first in a double bill at the Academy celebrating the achievements of London's young designers. This week was for the fashion and textile crowd. Vivienne Westwoods in the making and no joke this night was rammed with about 95% ladieeezzz! Nuff said !! Wicked crowd, wicked night!

Big thanx to Julia who put this night on showcasing the videos of Mister Who alongside some of London's talented directors and film makers. What can we say, the videos went down a storm. UNIQUE HASTINGS has been asked to appear on the UK release of the Chris Brown No.1 Smash Hit 'Run it'. The Golden Boy spits a mean verse at the start of the track which is available exclusively on itunes download. Check it !!!
 
MISTER WHO has been busy filming the videos for his forthcoming AA single 'Oceans' / 'Speech Therapy'. Oceans director Luke ROSZKOWSKI says the video is in the post production phase which sees Mister Who as a News reader, in a billboard, flying......Joking about the flying we haven't got that kind of budget yet!!!! You know it's gonna be original though!
 
Big Thanx to the team who made it down to the set to film 'Speech Therapy'. Everyone pulled together and you'll soon see the results. This video is looking set to be the one of the most original videos of the year, forget the fact it's UK Hip-Hop, this video is gonna be big!! Big mention to Directors - Roydon Turner (J.W.T) and Warren Gebhardt (Glassworks) and Director of Photography, Simon Dinsell. Not forgetting Nikki and Tara, the dancers, who came through at late notice and the whole crew. It was a brillant day! Check out the pics !!

UNIQUE HASTINGS has been contacted by Kitchenware Records founder, Keith Armstrong after he heard a sneak preview of his album. If you don't know Kitchenware they are home to chart topping indie group,The EDITORS. Mr Armstrong has asked The Golden Boy to write for r'n'b group, Sirens, just signed by the label on their track 'Two days later'.
 
MORCHEEBA'S very own Paul Godfrey contacted Mister Who after hearing the promo of 'Oceans'/ 'Speech Therapy'. He wants the Dual Amp artist to collaborate on their forthcoming album which is set to be the band's most experimental project to date.  Watch this space.!!

ROOTS MANUVA @ THE FORUM
Unique and Mister Who were invited to hang out back stage at the Roots Manuva Concert @ The Forum. Big Respect to Rodney and his band, Simba and Roots' support Jimmy Screech and all The Banana Clan Collective. Wicked night was had by all.The Dual Amp boys were on stage at the encore of Rodney's set dancing with the best of 'em. Check the pics !!!

Unique Hastings @ NYC, Leicester Sq
The 'Golden boy' performed a wicked PA set the week after Mister Who smashed it. Emily had been so impressed by the Dual Amp boys the week before she requested another performance. This time round Unique took centre stage. The reaction to the tracks 'WOW' and 'NO MATTER', showed the potential those tracks have of being chart entrys come their release.

Mister Who @ NYC, Leicester Sq
Big thanx to everyone who came down and supported at NYC @ Leicester Sq. The sound system down there is absolutely slammin' and with a filled 600 capacity venue the atmosphere was electric. Before Mister Who's set kicked in there was a bit of heckling from a couple of Chavs in the audience but they soon kept quiet when the beats erupted and he started his flow. He was supported on stage by Unique Hastings who kept the crowd hyped. The biggest tunes of the set were 'Speech Therapy', 'Leave Tonight' and 'Underground'. Big thanx to Ferg, Hamish, J9 and the ladies of Devon. (U know who u are)

Things are just getting better people!! Andrew Asamoah (A&R SONY/BMG) got to hear some of our music and has approached us to join Dual Amp Recordings with his Grinnin' Records imprint for our releases. Basically he uses his label to nurture up and coming talent and helps fianance the release material so having him on board the Dual Amp juggernaut can only be a good thing. So watch for our debut tunes, now on Dual Amp/ Grinnin' records.

October '05

Boy!! The last couple of months have been really busy but also very productive. Dual Amp Recordings now has a distributor and can exclusively reveal that the Dual Amp Recordings first releases will be distributed by FASFWD/ SRD. These guys cover everything from Indie, Dance and Hip-Hop so hopefully this will be the beginning of something great. Alot of love and respect to Charlie Parker of Head of FASFWD who has recognised our talent and brought SRD to the table.

Now that distribution has been finalised we can confirm the releases:

Whilst Mister Who has been practising with his live band/soundsystem down at Bush Studios, Shepherds Bush. Also big respect to Matrix for coming up with a slammin' d'n'b remix for Mister Who who's been filming part of the 'Oceans' promo in preparation for the promotional push. Both artists will be looking to do some live dates in November so keep a look out for the updates. Peace.

30th-31st JULY - SHANTELLE TOWN FILMING
The boys made their short film debuts. It was a wicked couple of days. Unique plays the smooth love interest and Mister Who plays this mad cap narrator. Anyway you’re gonna have to go check it. We’ll keep you posted about when it should be hitting cinemas and festivals.
 
29th JULY - Unique @ CLUB ZYRUS
Unique got the crowd going at Club Zyrus after there were early problems with the sound system. Once that got sorted the place was buzzing. Respect going out to Obe for his help getting the gig. Apologies for all you lot who went down to see Mister Who. He had to cancel late in the day after his little brother was knocked off his moped.

29TH  JULY
This was a totally mad day which involved crossing London getting cds, promotional flyers, vaccinations, doing a show and preparing for their film debuts !!!
The promotional cds were dropped off to Red Records, Brixton for Reggie Styles to pick up. Those in the business know Reggie is a promotional plugger for Sony/BMG. Nice one mate, thanks for your help.
 
Unique was flying over to Nigeria for some Radio shows and had to get his vaccines just don’t ask him where they had to put the needle.
 
Mister Who had to cancel his slot at Club Zyrus after his little brother was knocked off his moped. Luckily his brother was alright and escaped with minor injuries.

21st July - FILM WORK
Paulette JAMES of EXPOSURE FILMS has approached Mister Who and Unique Hastings to appear in her forthcoming short film set in London. The film is described as being ‘Spike Lee meets London’. The working title is ‘Shantelle’s Town’.

Paulette has recently finished filming with indie group ‘The Ordinary Boys’, and has worked as part of the production teams for videos for ‘Goldfrapp’, ‘The Streets’ and ‘The Sugababes‘. This film will be her first film project. Filming starts on the 30th July 2005. Unique’s track ’No Matter’ is going to be used in the film itself and both artists have been asked to provide music for the soundtrack. It is possible that the album may be released on Dual Amp recordings. We’ll keep u lot posted.
The big moves coming up for the boys will be to secure the distribution. This should get finalised in the next couple of weeks.

Unique’s meeting with Kaydee from The Playcentre promotions team went well regarding promotion for ‘No Matter’. Unique said the office wall was full of Platinum discs from the likes Eminem, The Game etc so that’s big company. Unique is also scheduling a meeting with Doug Cooper from Soul2Streets who are doing phenomenal things for U.K urban acts at the moment to keep in with dual Amp philosophy of always having ‘dual options‘.

16th July - XLARGE CLOTHING STORE, OXFORD CIRCUS
‘Nuff love to everyone who came down to this gig. It had been scheduled for the 9th July but people were still reeling from the terrorist explosions so we had to re-schedule. Dark times at the moment but ‘the beat must go on’. Boy, what a day ! There was such a cool crowd outside the store, where we set up, we thought the local feds might intervene but they were cool and breezed on by. The success of this gig meant that we’ve been asked to do another one next month, so make sure you‘re down there people. We’ve already got some ideas and it’s gonna be phat! Peace and love to the 35 Above boys, Gbag and Blessed, who teamed up with their partner, Unique, to do their track ‘Money’. Also big thanx to DJ Mr Lingo and Dr Karl Groover, Mr Scaramanga and the Café Recording boys for their support and Paolo at XLARGE who got us to do the gig. Next one’s gonna be bigger and badder!!!

Mister Who was in Sheffield at Mother digital studios mixing down his forthcoming single so once again Dual Amp duties fell to the Golden boy ‘Unique’ to represent. His set was tight and the Deal Real crowd were loud and proud. ‘Nothing over me’ and ‘Peace’ had the crowd stomping.

Unique smashed it with a couple of trax to warm himself up for the Deal Real show. These showcase nights can be tough but the ‘Unique one’ pulled it out the bag with a wicked rendition of ‘Peace’ (even the thugz had their peace signs in the air) . Nuff respec’ to the owner Mike.

Zzonked Promotions
Zzonked have said they want to promote the Mister Who material, which is all good. These guys work with all kinds of artists, once distribution gets finalised we‘ll know how to move forward.

XLARGE Clothing
We are now officially tied in with XLARGE. XLARGE is an Urban/Hip-Hop Clothing company originating from the States. The TOKYO branch is massive and the brand is well known in Japan. The company have just opened a store in London, Carnaby Street and Mister Who and Unique Hastings have been asked to promote the clothing in the U.K.
